Through the Rural Lands Program a variety of engagements are highlighted in the following pages. The basis of these projects centred around the demand of the land for water for irrigation, moisture and flows reporting to the waterway. The basis of the program was to transfer a growers desire for water into an opportunity to improve growing practices, reduce the volume of pollutants reaching the waterways and provide alternative water supply mechanisms that eased the burden on licenses from these waterways.

Many plans and strategies were developed under “bite sized” engagements and across multiple farms across the Yarra Valley.
