Project Summary:

Afflux Consulting was engaged by GTA Consulting to provide advice on WSUD options for Darebin Council as part of planned road upgrades. A number of kerb outstands, landscape works and traffic calming devices are planned along the rail corridor in Thornbury and Northcote. As part of these works, raingardens are proposed in 5 locations to treat the local stormwater runoff.

The report detailed these raingardens and modelled their influence by way of nutrient and sediment reductions.

• Retrofitting WSUD systems into a fully developed catchment.
• Raising awareness about microclimate within the catchment and how rain gardens can be adopted to mitigate these effects.
