Project Summary:
Afflux Consulting was approached by SMEC to provide technical expertise in particular for flood modelling and development advice. Afflux built and provided advice on the modelling techniques required to understand the existing flooding regimes within the corridor and possible future drainage outcomes.
Afflux Consulting provided considerable training and model setup advice for SMEC, showing again that technical expertise is housed in boutique organisations and not the large engineering houses.
Project Outcome:
A range of flood models were completed and calibrated to existing knowledge and regional experience. The models were a combination of Rorb rainfall excess and nodal application to best understand the context of the area and meet with flood expectations.
