Client: ABC Company

Project Summary:

This project required a stormwater management strategy for the development at 367 Copelands Rd, Warragul. It investigated stormwater treatment options for the proposed development and wider catchment, temporary works, minor and major drainage aspects, flood impacts and general drainage layout for the site. A review of previous modelling was conducted to ensure that current engineering standards were applied. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with proposed designs tools outlined in the Warragul Drainage Strategy.

Project Outcome:

The results recommended the following solutions to meet the objectives critical to 367 Copelands Rd:

  • The development to allow a significant reserve area along the northern boundary as shown in the report. This will meet both the flora and fauna requirements and the flooding requirements for the development
  • A minor pipe network be installed similar to the alignment as shown in this report. This will minimise the waterway outlets and potential scour locations in the creek
  • Sedimentation basins be designed and installed as per the sizes and locations as recommended in this report. This will further protect the waterways from sedimentation and some nutrient pollution
  • That residencies be placed 600mm above the flood levels as defined in this report

Key Features and Innovations:

  • Worked closely with the client and Council
  • Negotiated a solution that suits Council resources and DSS
